Export Promotion Scheme Description Eligibility / Validity
Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme Allows import of capital goods including spares for pre-production, production and post-production at zero duty subject to an export obligation of 6 times of duty saved on capital goods imported, to be fulfilled in 6 years. Manufacturer exporters, merchant exporters tied to supporting manufacturer(s) and service providers
Advance Authorization Scheme The import of inputs will be allowed to be made duty-free (after making normal allowance for wastage) if they are physically incorporated in a product which is going to be exported. Valid for 18 months from the date of issue of such Authorization
RoDTEP Scheme Based on the principle that taxes and duties should not be exported, and taxes and levies borne on the exported products should be either exempted or remitted to exporters. Rebate will be issued in the form of a transferable duty credit/ electronic scrip (e-scrip) which will be maintained in an electronic ledger by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC).
TIES Provides assistance for setting up and up-gradation of infrastructure projects with overwhelming export linkages like the Border Haats, Land customs stations, quality testing and certification labs, cold chains, trade promotion centres, dry ports Financial support to be provided to
a. Central Government Agencies
b. State Government Agencies.
c. Joint Ventures of any of the above Government agencies
MAI Aims for product-focus country approach to evolve specific market. Assistance would be provided for enhancement of exports through accessing new markets. • Departments of Central/State Government

Niryat Bandhu To mentor first generation entrepreneurs and growing exporters on the intricacies of foreign trade using counselling, training and outreach programmes. Online certification program by IIFT includes 20 live sessions of two hours for registered participants.
Transport and Marketing Assistance (TMA) Scheme Provides assistance for the international component of freight and marketing of agricultural produce which is likely to mitigate disadvantage of higher cost of transportation of export of specified agriculture products due to trans-shipment and to promote brand recognition for Indian agricultural products in the specified overseas markets. EXPORT PROMOTION ACTIVITIES UNDER DISTRICTS AS EXPORT HUBS

  • • State Export Promotion Committee (SEPC) has been constituted in all the 36 States/UTs
  • • District Export Promotion Committee (DEPC) has been constituted in all the 36 States/UTs except West Bengal.
  • • Products/Services with export potential have been identified in all 739 Districts across the country.
  • • Draft District Action Plan has been prepared by the RAs of DGFT for 473 Districts out of which 39 are formally notified by DEPCs.
  • • State Export Strategy has been prepared in 26 States/UTs.
  • • DEPC meetings has already been conducted in 618 Districts
  • • EPC meetings are held in the Districts to strategize on promoting exports from the Districts.
  • • DEPC in Districts functions to provide assistance to the exporters in resolving their issues/concerns related to exports
  • • District specific export action plans are being prepared in each District to prepare export strategy for the products/services identified in the district.
